So we didn’t manage to win anything this season and to be honest the season was very flat
Our performance in the Champions League left a lot to be desired, ok, we won the group but fell at the first hurdle in the knock out stage, what a bitter pill that was.
Premiership trailed all the way, never really looked consistent enough especially against the lower sides in the premiership, need to do a lot better next season
It has been a long time since I have felt like not going to a game or leaving early, the cup final I couldn’t believe, it was so flat I left after 80 minutes and went into the Hilton bar for a drink or two.
The World Cup is not going to help either, with 11 players on international duty it means they will not be back for the start of pre-season training and so could be behind in their fitness preparations and of course integrating with the rest of the squad, hopefully a coupe of new signings in there as well
Have a good summer, remember fixture lists out Thursday 14th June
If you read this and you are a member of the High Peak Supporters Club can you please advise us of you official One United Membership number or if a season ticket holder your season tickets number, it is just to ensure all our supporters are affiliated to the branch in Manchester United records
We would appreciate this prior to 15th July
We were scheduled to have a meeting on 11th May at The Rams Head, unfortunately we have decided to cancel it until after the season has finished. There are a number of away games to fit in and then the FA Cup Final that time is not available for everything.
We will advise when the next meeting will be, but probably at the middle/end of July
Are you a Manchester United Supporter who lives in the High Peak or Surrounding area who wishes to be more involved in a group rather than travelling to games on your own?
We are an official branch of the Manchester United Supporters Clubs, we attend all home and away games, we have mini buses to each home game and most away games.
Run our own trips to European away games, usually 1 or 2 nights stay and generally cheaper than the club’s day trips
We hold regular branch meetings on the last Thursday or Friday in the month, subject to fixture dates
