This years MUDSA dinner will be held on Friday 8th November, so the day after the 4th Europa Cup tie and before the Brighton home game.
As most of you know, we are one of the largest parties at the dinner, and following the jokes made by the compere last year about us only having 1 more person than the year before, I told him we will take 8 tables.
This means that we could have 96 people there, if we made all the tables 12 places. However for layout reasons we would only go up to 3 tables of 12, so we will have space for 86 people.
The guest speaker will be advised shortly, once Chas has finalized everything, hence the delay this year in letting us know the date, so hopefully it will be this week-end when the official notification along with the menu is known
I have already had a great response with a large number of people confirming they want tickets, even before the guest speaker is announced
We will run buses, and it could be that we run a coach from Buxton or Chapel and pick up going down the A6 to Stockport, with mini buses from Glossop, Compstall & Marple.
The menu will be :
Starter – Mrs. Kirkham’s Cheese and Leek Tart, Heritage Tomato and Red Onion Salad, Smoked Sweet Vinaigrette Dressing
Main Course –Lake District Lamb Shank, Parmesan Mash, Wilted Cabbage, Carrot Puree, Minted Jus
Desert –Sticky Date and Toffee Pudding with Butterscotch Sauce, Vanilla Seed Ice Cream
Coffee & Mint Chocolates
The Vegetarian option is to be advised by Monday but it could be –Sweet Potato, Aubergine, Red Onion and Pepper tagine, Mint and Parsley Scented Couscous Toasted Flat Bread, Houmous and Harissa Yoghurt
